Quietly strumming with his eyes shut
long lashes grazing his rosy cheeks
fingers swiftly moving
emotions gracefully composing
a single instrument symphony
enthralled i watch him
soul connection
cliché yet truth
our eyes meet
i shiver involuntarily
a brief interlude
he opens his mouth to sing
beauty
his face contorts in strong,
uncontrollable emotions
portrayed through the songs he sings
his tanned lips spread into a smile
private jokes between him and himself
long graceful fingers slowly stop
his song ends and i walk away


Reverie

Here i am in my quiet little reverie
Watching people, pleased that they don't notice me
Observing the beautiful nature of God's wandering world
Longing to fly then realizing i'm absurd

Did jesus himself feel like I
Absorbing God's love and wanting to fly
Did his heart rise and explode in expectation
knowing his call won't reach a conclusion

Feeling the joy of seeing others come to Him

frustration and anger
wishing he was stronger

its 3 am now i'm wide awake

move to la and stay

peacefully stare at the sky
watch the beautiful ocean
leave everything behind

but still see thru

A mischevious grin
The playful light
Spreading to his eyes
A slight whisper

light emerald green eyes
