"Looking Beyond"
Let Your Spirit Soar
Let your spirit soar
Way high above the clouds.
Let angel wings brush by your side
And let them take you for a flight.
Just feel the peace they bring to you
Like nothing else you know.
They whisper of the things to be,
You smile and let it go.
It is not time to stay right there,
Your feet just touched the ground,
But every time you dont feel right
You look just past the cloud.

"Empathy"
When your heart starts to speak
How dare of you to take my heart and toss it in the air.
You made it sing and dance a while,
Til I knew you did not care.
It was a game, a well-played game,
At first I did not understand.
You took a match to light a fire,
It burst right into flames.
It took a while to settle down, to smolder just a bit.
I caught my heart
And placed it back to a warm and quiet place.
Where bluebirds sing and flowers bloom
Upon a smiling face.
My heart was open without a tear;
it floated playfully through the air,
A storm came up; tossed it around
And oops it got a tear.
I quickly learned to guard my heart
And turn the outside in.
Though many storms that were about,
Let only sunshine in.
Now slowly I turned the inside out to set it free again,
And oops there came a thunderstorm
And in it went again

"Eva"
Innocence
She opened her eyes to look at the world
And there she was, still only a child.
It was very quiet all around her.
For a moment the world stood still.
Her heart was beating as she looked up,
So innocent she was,
Her heart so free and open
Only filled with love.
The golden glow around her face so pure,
She did not see the danger lurking very near.
Danger came upon her like a dream,
The soul inside her just a scream.
To God she turned,
The danger left.
The pain inside,
Still deep inside her chest.

"The Tree of Life"
My Heart is Open and Very Still
Lord, I can hear you speak to me:
I know your happiness; I know your pain,
I can see you smile at me, trust me and let go.
Take a step and the next, you will not fall.
It is my promise. I am with you all the way.
Lord, You have a way of replacing fear with joy.
When we are lonely, you are the best companion,
Ever ready to take our hand to lead us.
Sometimes we are blind and cannot see.
You tell me:
Just trust your heart to me-- and you will see.
I will give you wisdom to see, not eyes.
Even if you think this cannot be.
With my heart in yours, you can just trust in me.
You were not born for a smooth ride.
Like a pebble, only after much bouncing around
Did the edges get smooth,
You will emerge as a precious stone.
So, trust me, do hold my hand,
so when the storm gets too rough you will not fall.
Trust me and follow me.

"Under the Wing of an Eagle"
My Walk
Lord,
I walked along this path of mine,
The walk I thought you choose.
Mud and rocks though in my path
You never let me loose.
I screamed and shouted, no, Lord, not this walk,
I can not take it, its too steep.
Again you showed me an easy walk,
Just to my right.
In front of me the hill was steep,
With many boulders in the road,
I did not see the flowers,
The boulders much too big.
Again a nudge from you,
You smiled.
It is the walk you choose.
So much you must yet learn,
Trust me.
Again I climbed this boulder
Right in the middle of my path,
Why me Lord?
What have I done Lord?
Couldnt I take this easy path,
The one I past just yesterday,
Or just sit on the little bench?
Just go, this is the path you chose,
The walk thats only yours,
Just over the hill and you will glide,
Your guardian angel by your side.
When you almost fell, it was no luck,
I quick jumped in and held you up.
You are my child.
So walk your walk.
The one you chose just yesterday,
Tomorrow you will do the same.
And step by step
You are closer to me,
Your eyes will open and you will see.
I will be there when your walk is done,
Thats when I carry you in my arm.

"Leap into the Unknown"
Springtime
On early awakening, I saw the sunrays
Peeking through the window.
My heart made a leap; ah, springtime is here.
I walked out the door to feel the morning breeze
Gently playing around my head.
I heard the birds early morning songs,
And there, a rainbow in the distance.
I looked up; there was still a cloud above,
A raindrop touched my nose.
My heart started to sing.
Ah, this is the day I want to fly to Paris,
Have wine and cheese for breakfast,
Dance naked in the rain,
Get soaking wet,
Have a picnic under a tree,
Forget time and place and just be.
To say: today that was me.
